Dalhousie University launches survey on forest management

June 13, 2024  By CFI Staff

Samantha M. Chu, a master’s student at Dalhousie University, has launched a new survey aimed at enhancing Canadian forest management. The research seeks to improve knowledge exchange practices between forest practitioners and scientists by aligning research products with the preferences and needs of professional foresters.

The survey targets Registered Professional Foresters, Professional Forest Technicians or Technologists, and forestry students or trainees working primarily in Canada. The results will inform better distribution and communication practices by forest researchers, potentially influencing future science communication policy.

Participants will have the opportunity to voice their preferences for receiving information and continuing education. Additionally, they can enter a draw to win one of three $50 gift cards. The survey is anonymous, and email addresses collected for the draw will be kept confidential.
